Content status

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Each content item in your dashboard will be labelled with one of the following “status” badges. A content’s status helps you see at a glance a) what actions have been taken for the content and b) whether it is visible to your audience.

Status

Description

“Draft” content is new content that has never been published. Draft content may be missing required metadata or media.

Draft content is not visible to your audience.

“Scheduled” content has been scheduled for publication at a future date. All required metadata and media must be provided before content can be scheduled.

Scheduled content is not visible to your audience, but will automatically become visible once the scheduled date has arrived.

You will see the “Publishing” status temporarily if content has been marked for publication before it has finished processing.

If you are publishing new content then it will not be visible to your audience in this state. It will automatically become visible once it has finished processing.

If you are updating published content then the previous version of the content will remain visible to your audience until the new version has been processed.

“Published” content has been processed and is visible to your audience.

You will see the “Processing failed” status when we were unable to process the content’s media. This usually means that the media is corrupt or in an unexpected format, but occasionally network or server issues may cause this as well.

If you are publishing new content then it will not be visible to your audience in this state. If you are updating published content then the previous version of the content will remain visible to your audience.

If you see this status, make sure that your media files open and play correctly on your computer. Try re-exporting or re-processing the media on your computer before uploading again. If this doesn’t help please reach out to us.

“Archived” content is similar to deleted content, except that you can restore it in the future if you wish.

Archived content is not visible to your audience and is filtered out of your admin dashboard by default.
