Import content
Updated over a week ago

We recommend that you include as much quality content as possible in your app to help engage your audience and convert subscribers. We have a few features designed to help you bulk import content in preparation for your app launch.

Import videos

You can import up to 100 videos at a time. Navigate to the “Content” tab in your admin dashboard, click the “+ Add Content” button, and choose “Video”. You can select files from your computer, Dropbox, or Google Drive.

We recommend uploading high quality 1080p videos for best results. We do not support 4k streaming, so downscaling any 4k videos to 1080p before importing will save on upload time, processing time, and storage. You must have a high speed internet connection if you are uploading videos from your computer.

🚧 Our Google Drive integration is currently in beta. Please reach out to us if you would like to use this feature and we will enable it for you.

Import eBooks

You can import up to 10 ebooks at a time. Navigate to the “Content” tab in your admin dashboard, click the “+ Add Content” button, and choose “eBook”. You can select files from your computer, Dropbox, or Google Drive.

We recommend uploading reflowable layout eBooks for best results. We automatically extract the title, author, and cover image from each eBook file that you upload so that you don’t have to enter them manually.

Import podcasts

You can import an entire podcast by entering just the RSS feed URL. Navigate to the “Content” tab in your admin dashboard, click the “+ Add Content” button, and choose “Podcast”.

We automatically extract the title, hosts, and cover image from the podcast so that you don’t have to enter them manually. After you import a podcast we will continue to sync new episodes automatically so that you can continue to manage your podcast the same way that you always have.

Import metadata

We can bulk import content metadata like title and description for you during your initial content migration. This allows you to avoid manually entering metadata when importing your back catalog. To do this:

  1. Upload your content

  2. Click the “Export” button above the content table.

  3. Modify the resulting spreadsheet to match your desired state.

  4. Send the spreadsheet to us with an explanation of what changed.

Import via API

If you are working with a developer then you may also choose to use the Treefort API to bulk import content.
