Follow this guide to connect your Vimeo account to Treefort and easily import Vimeo videos into your app.
đ A Vimeo âStandardâ plan or higher is required for this integration.
1. Create a Vimeo API app
Youâll need to create an âappâ in Vimeoâs developer dashboard to manage Treefortâs access to your account.
Sign into https://developer.vimeo.com with your primary account.
Click âCreate an appâ in the top right corner.
The app name and description are up to you, or you can use these values:
Name: âTreefortâ
Description: âGrant Treefort access to private video filesâ
Select âNo. The only Vimeo accounts that will have access to the app are my own.â
Click âCreate appâ
2. Generate a personal access token
After creating an app youâll be taken to the app management page. If you created the app at an earlier time you can find it under https://developer.vimeo.com/apps.
Scroll down to the âGenerate an access tokenâ section under âAuthenticationâ on your new appâs management page.
Choose "Authenticated" and make sure the "Public", "Private", and "Video Files" scopes are checked.
Click âGenerateâ
Copy the new token into your Treefort dashboard at https://admin.treefortsystems.com/integrations/vimeo
3. Import Videos
You can now select videos from your Vimeo account from the âImport videosâ modal in your Treefort dashboard.
Navigate to the âContentâ tab.
Click âAdd contentâ and choose âVideoâ.
Select the âVimeoâ tab.
Search for and select the Vimeo videos youâd like to import.
