Content artwork

Updated this week

Every piece of content in your app must have “artwork” associated with it - an image that will be used to represent your content in your app. This image will be displayed when users are viewing your content directly or when they come across it in search results, in lists of recommendations, in a collection, etc.

Text in artwork

Content artwork will often include text - for example the title of a movie in a movie poster or the name of an album in some cover art. If you do not include the title of the content in it’s artwork, make sure to enable the “Show titles” option on tags or sliders that contain the content so that its title is automatically shown below the artwork.

Aspect ratios

In sliders, tags, and blogs artwork is displayed at one of the following aspect ratios:

- Square: A square with a 1:1 aspect ratio

- Wide: A wide rectangle with a 7:4 aspect ratio

- Tall: A tall rectangle with a 7:10 aspect ratio

You can choose which aspect ratio is used with the “Shape” option. If your artwork does not match one of these aspect ratios then some minor cropping may occur, although we do our best to avoid this.
